It's Saturday Night. In Atlanta. on AUC Homecoming weekend....There are plenty of things I'm sure I could be getting into tonight, however I've been preoccupied with research.
The past few nights I have been up researching commercial real estate, crowdfunding, agents, marketing, blah blah blah.. they are all interconnected somehow in advancing my business that I have been steady building the last few years.
While making my rounds to my normal finance and entrepreneurship blogs I came across a new one entitled Rockstar Finance. This post entitled Sell Your Crap. Pay Your Debt. Do What You Love caught my eye and I began watching.
Towards the end of the video Adam proclaims starting "Today I'm going to start collecting experiences not things!" Talk about a lightbulb moment!
This video rang true to me as I'm at a point in my life of deciding what's next. I sold my car a month ago, and I'm debating to get another one. Feeling overwhelmed with normal 20 something problems like student loans, saving vs. spending, etc and then Adam Baker comes through my iPad screen telling me to get my sh*& together.
Over the past few years I have acquired debt in the forms of student loans and in the name of "doing business" and I will be actively paying those off so I can live my ultimate freedom.
So instead of living the normal life script that Big Government and Consumerism has for me I have taken Mr. Adam Baker's advice and written my personal definition of freedom.
What Freedom Means To Me:
Traveling the world one destination at a time every quarter of the year. The liberty and leisure to decide the length of stay once I arrive. Conducting Skype meetings with my staff and interns in between scheduled massages and adventures.
Debt Free. At Peace. Living in the Moment.. Helping Others.. Building a legacy.
Building. Over. Obstacles. No. Excuses.
My musings on navigating the business world from an accidental entrepreneur viewpoint.
